Take this as an example. I walk into a popular book store February 2008 and see posters on the wall which says “Feed your brain” and “Feed your Love.” I related it to an internet advertisement I've become familiar with from a Google add on the internet. The Google add reads “Feed your passion”. As they are similar I connect the two. I remembered the “Feed your Passion” Google advertisement taking me to Ebay not a online book store. Yet Ebay is where some are given the opportunity to buy books cheap online for second-hand book resale on Amazon. Here I made a connection base on similarity. The message was buy books

Further into the same book on page 251 there is a section entitled “Choose your Passion”. This section begins..

“Whatever you do in life, effective intelligence dictates that you define it clearly. But that's still not enough. You need to be passionate about it”

So I changed my connection to a new clear definition of the advertisement. The advertisement message seen on the wall now means get brainy and enjoy life. If this is the true meaning I couldn't help feeling the store missed posters “Feed your stomach” and “Drink Caffine”. All four posters would combine what was so special about this great store. Here of course I made a connection based on feeling an emotions. The message was still buy books.

Then I think dam perhaps it just means buy books for you and your love ones. Here I did my best to think with intelligence. The message is still buy books.

Words can convey different meanings to different people as they go through different stages in their life, through different thought processes and different moods.

The main thing to recognise is that even though these words have meant different things in each scenario the underpinning message of all possible meanings is “buy books”.
