Will adverts on YouTube help make money with my web site?

The types of web sites that make money on the Internet are either hugely successful because they have been promoted by the internet trend setters, or they are owned by the big corporations, or they have been in existence and become popular over a number of years. These web sites haven’t gained popularity easily, and usually it came from finding a unique niche, product or service that worked well with technology and the web. Adding one single YoTube video to your site is unlikely to make you rich. This is confirmed in this BBC press article and many other places on the web.

Make Money Image I have read that you can gain a regular cheque from Google if you write a 100 page web site that is of value to the community and uses the appropriate keywords. I believe this to be true, but I'm not convinced that the cheque from the first 100 pages web site would be enough alone to maintain today's lifestyle needs. You will also need other streams of income.

One could question how one individual could possibly maintain numerous sites of this size in a manner that will support return visits? If you do attempt this route, you should expect to run into Cyber bullies who may target your site advertisements with advertisements that make your site fall short. One way to overcome Cyber bullying is to write more specific, better quality content, use affiliate marketing or remove advertisements all together.

An example of a Cyber bully attack would be when your site is targeted with image advertisements that include error messages designed to look like errors on your site or a technique known as a Google bomb. You can report these advertisements to Google, but how do you manage the damage whilst you wait for Google to deal with the request?

If you are searching for income from your web page or blog don't expect high returns to be immediate or easy to find.

The web site rule is:

Time + Effort + Content + Visitors + Service + Product + Advertising + Luck = Reward.

Sharing information on a web site allows people to see and understand your skills and expertise. Sharing video on the Internet allows people to get a better understanding of who you are. Combine content and video, and a visitor to your web site may feel they are more able to see your character and be more able to validate how much they value your opinion. Neither video nor content alone on your web site will make you rich. It’s a tough world to compete in, and you are going to need some time, some expertise and a lot of friends if your goal is to make money purely from a web site or blog. The more places you are on the web the more easily you are found.
